Rich narcissists have been making me miserable i my design practice for years. I’m a down to earth, middle class Ohio boy - these characters ate me for breakfast in our dealings. Slowly I came to understand the nature of narcissism. I gave up trying to change them or reason with them. After awhile I even stopped hating them - but they get NO sympathy from me.

I thought the interesting part of the article wasn’t the rich people (the husband used to get Forbes magazine, and those articles told me everything I needed to know about them), but the plaintive whining of the shrinks themselves. After all, they’re DOCTORS, and should be revered. These guys were just the help, no different from the driver or the cook.

Talk about co-dependency…
