Just got a phone call from the DSCC asking me for money. I cut the guy off and said, “If the Democrats vote for FISA immunity, you’ll never get another dime from me.” Then I hung up.
I have a feeling he’s hearing that a lot.

I’m with you.
I told them the Democrats have been in the majority since 2006. They should have stopped funding Operation Iraqi Liberation, (O.I.L.) by now. They should also have impeached Bush and Cheney and have them up on War Crimes charges. And now they’re giving the telecomms immunity?
I told them I was giving the $100/month to MoveOn.org.
Good on ya. I’m telling them that I’m giving my money directly to candidates that support the Constitution.
You can actually do more than hang up on them. They’ll talk to you and even try to engage, and won’t try to get money from you beyond the initial pitch. I get the feeling they may very well tell superiors what they’re hearing from people like us.
I’ve told them they’ll never get another dime based on FISA, as well as additional funding for the war, as well as their unwillingness to actually use contempt of Congress charges. I’ve also told them that my money is reserved for ousting blue dog Democrats and any candidate that votes for the FISA bill, including Barack Obama.

Undoubtedly. The telemarketers probably have quotas to make, so if they have some reason that they’re not raising money — i.e., that the Dems have been caving and people are angry — then they damn well are going to tell their superiors about it.
Whether anything gets done about it after that is the real issue.
