Steveeboy,
If you and Susie are friends enough to visit each other's homes -- well, you sure as hell don't act like that, on here. This is all I know about you: You're rude, you're obnoxious, you're foolish, and you have no sense of empathy toward people you supposedly are here to convince of your viewpoints. To be a troll is more than just an identity; it is how one acts when the goal of developing trust would indicate that a more effective attitude should be used.

I'll apologize to Susie since I made a mistake by thinking you were an inhumane employee of a front group, but not to you, because in every post I've read of yours, you've never stepped down your soapbox to be human, to express any other feeling than those that buttress your political fight on this blog. Susie posts a lot of non-political posts, as empathy gom-jabbar tests, and so far, I haven't seen you pass yet.

WTF, indeed.
Good heavens.
Susie is quoting Chris Bowers, who is invoking Matt Stoller, two more stalwart Obama supporters you will find nowhere. They are raising these isssues.

It's people like you, Steveeboy, who make it so difficult for Obama supporters like me to convince skeptics that Obama is worthy of their support and their vote.

I can't believe you are still going after Hillary Clinton. How counterproductive is that, do you think? But then I see that there is scant evidence that you do think. What a shame. Obama deserves better. Or maybe not. Maybe there is something about him and his campaign that encourages troll-like behavior like yours.

If you can't understand the difference between Susie and this blog and what is a happening at The Confluence and other such PUMA supporters, not only does that indicate there is something wrong with you, but it also strengthens the movement you hold in such contempt. Ahhh...I see it now...a double agent.

Honestly, hon, you might as well be.

Steve, WTF is wrong with you? Seriously.

I'm not a member of any coordinated group, no matter how you try to paint me as one. Maybe it's time you concentrated on completing your own projects instead of putting so much energy into attacking someone else's writing.

I wasn't responding to "rumors," as you put it, but actual information from my own campaign sources. In fact, I actually WORKED with Obama's field people. Maybe I might know something about how they operate?

Those of us who have actually worked on the inside of a big-money campaign just might understand a few things more than someone who perhaps took DFA training, knocked on doors and once or twice worked a polling place. Just maybe.

As anyone who's ever run a large field operation will tell you, the mileage on "coordinated" campaigns will vary greatly - and this is exactly my point.

and by the way susie, while I appreciate the "defense" at corrente, I am quite sure my "blindspot" is not nearly as large as you imagine.

I am sure that in a contest of the cynical, bitter, and realist, I would give you--or any other person alive (but maybe not Brendan)-- a run for your money.

But, my cynicism is tempered with the knowledge that our nominee was decided by our primary process and at this point the nominee is the nominee, and the continued whining and conspiracy mongering serve no purpose other than to continue the HRC supporter sore-loser circle jerk.

To claim that HRC and her campaign would not have centralized their power and ran the campaign as they saw fit--which is what all this teeth gnashing about obama organizing his national effort implies-- is naive and flies in the face of how the DNC and Clintons operated when they were the ones in power.

In fact, she ran her primary campaign in the same manner as the "old thinking" --concentrating on a few big states, not planning past super tuesday, etc.

Hell, she couldn't even manage her finances and has now stiffed tons of small vendors and is expecting others to pay the debts that she personally ran up.

But, rather than some much needed introspection as to why their candidate may not have been the best choice, you now have people claiming that obama giving a speech at a football stadium is akin to hitler at nuremberg.

you have people acting as if HRC was the second coming of FDR rather than just another in a long line of DLC-type democrats.

the best person won, and it is time to end the silliness and bullshit and focus on mccain.

but, if it makes you happy to go along with the dumb-ass sore losers that continue to assert that I--your long time friend who was drinking your mojitos just two weeks ago in my own home--am a troll paid for and coordinated by obama, then by all means feed their fantasies rather than disabusing them of them.

But of course, I know the truth, as do so many of your other friends in town.
--You know, the same people that are called "blogger boyz" "the Philadelphia blog boy mafia" etc. ????

The truth is, the very article you linked to debunked your argument, but you didn't post that part, you just said that you heard similar rumours about ohio.

Well, I am sure you are aware that the dems have been getting their asses kicked for a long time now. If a leader has emerged that has money, expertise, and staff to organize and run campaigns in all fifty states, then in my mind this is a good thing.

We can hardly do worse than what has happened since @1994 or so.

One shouldn't have to see conspiracy in a strategy that presupposes that if you turn out a shitload of voters for the top of the ticket, those people are most likely to vote straight ticket down the line.

Frankly, I think the fact that obama beat HRC demonstrates his skill and the power of his organization. I feel more confident with that organization than local parties in states that have not had much success in electing democrats.

But, instead you focus on your conspiracies, and post things under the PUMA rubric.

that will surely help us win back the white house in november and I am sure that if you continue to denigrate our nominee and link to the even more deluded dead enders that share your view that will REALLY help the down ticket dems.

it seems to me that the naivete is on the side of people that believe that somehow our nominee can be knocked off the ticket and that HRC will then swoop in to take over and lead the dems to valhalla.
--Or worse, your pals in PUMA that believe that electing mccain in '08 will result in hillary being elected in 2012.

Who is really deluding themselves here?

Who has really drank the kool aid?

did you get lots of points, steveeboy? are you working hard for The One™? is it like a phone script you get via email, or is there an automated system, like the automated phone systems, where they give you the URL for a random blog?

if you aren't an amateur, why are you so bad at this?

OB putting his own staff in GOTV movement? horrors!!! what arrogance! What fascist tactics!

Enough time has passed to seperate the dissapointed losers from the sore losers...there are still a few dandelions in the yard apparently.

Here's an idea (again)...compare the candidates and decide to vote how you want. Do you really expect to be begged for your vote or to see someone go ten miles out of the way to smooth over hurt feelings (see: placate a individual too stubborn to accept reality)...

McGrumpy-face continues to flat-out lie everyday and still others want to tie their drawers (see: panties) into knots about standard operating procedures the OB camp follows...

oh yeah,

I am TOTAL troll!!!

I mean its like I don't even know susie!!!

I am paid handsomely direct from barack for my posts, each and every one!

with this money I have bought a sweet car, but I don't even work cause my parents pay for it all!!!

In fact, I am just a dumb college student that never voted before!

get a clue.

all this BS is pushed by the sore loser hrc people, you can check it on the various links provided everytime they imagine some new offense on the part of obama.

all the same crew: riverdaughter, confluence, no quarter--my absolute favorite! and there assorted commentators.

to read this BS, you would never imagine that when bill clinton became the nominee they took over the dnc and ran things the way they wanted. HINT--terry macauliffe????!?!?!

There was a whole fight to fix the dnc from the dlc/clinton focus on just a few states, it resulted in Howard Dean winning the chairmanship.

but now, any move by obama to do the same thing is somehow cause for alarm, conspiracy mongering, and claims of hitler-behaviour.

you people need to get over it and get with the program.

and you need to get some new real and imagined insults.

"troll" "kool aid drinker" "rich kid" "latte drinker" "creative class" "obamabot" etc really get stale after a while.

maybe, just maybe, "historiann" you might consider what sort of a "historian" conveniently cuts and pastes from sources to leave off half the story merely so they can back up their own pre-determined narrative.

i wish people would stop equating not liking obama with racism. what is the point of continuing on with that now that the evil bitch is out of the race? if you want him to win, cut it the fuck out.

memyself, thank you for your total blatant honesty with "scary black man firing"...it didn't take you half a second to jump from "staff that was previously working for down-ticket races now being placed on the payroll of Obama’s presidential campaign" to "oh, so Susie is a racist", did it?

And what was the logic, the derivation, the argument for one to the other? NADA. Thank you for proving the point about Obama supporters being Kool-aid drinkers who think they've solved racism by selecting a black man as nominee of a political party. Next stop, which cause should we support - animal rights? Maybe we select a kangaroo in 2012?

I seriously think people should be required to pass a couple of IQ tests before you comment on blogs.

Get out the vote for Obama was proven to not have a positive benefit for down-ticket people, as I remember. So, Obama becoming president should not be the whole focus of any state campaign office.

oops - sorry I didn't read steveeboy's post.

It does make it obvious that anyone who gives a damn could easily find out the true story.

Not "scary black man is firing all of the poor Democratic loyalists" after all.

Follow the twisty turny links to finally get to the original story and you can find out what the anti Obama site that is pushing this conveniently left out.

" Tom Henderson, chairman of the Polk County Democratic Party, said it is not unusual for a presidential candidate to put his stamp on a coordinated campaign.

"The Obama campaign is doing what every presidential campaign has done, which is take over the leadership of the coordinated campaign," he said. "For the most part, I think this was expected."

The staff of the state campaign was merely reassigned into new positions to accommodate Obama's campaign, Henderson said. He stressed that this is a good thing for Iowa Democrats, as get out the vote efforts for Obama will benefit Democrats at every level.

"I personally haven't heard anyone who is angry with the moves," Henderson said. "I think everyone will end up in a similar position, and even if there are people who are let go, there are so many campaign jobs available right now that no one is going to go unemployed. There are more jobs than people to fill them.""

"PUMA dead ender?" That's news to me. And here I thought I was just a Democrat! But, I forgot: Democrats are not allowed to criticize or question The Nominee at all, ever!

Sorry, Steveeboy--I'm not into authoritarianism, and I'm definitely not into Kool-Aid.

I suppose you could follow the lead of historiann, anglachel, riverdaughter, and the rest of the PUMA dead enders and claim that obama is really another hitler, worse than bush, planning a totalitarian takeover of the US of A, etc. etc.

or, if you read the original article you find this:

"Tom Henderson, chairman of the Polk County Democratic Party, said it is not unusual for a presidential candidate to put his stamp on a coordinated campaign.

that sure seems to put a different spin on things don't it?
