It’s hard to overstate the importance of evidence that indicates the U.S. Government may have sent out the anthrax letters to whip up support for the invasion of Iraq.

Respectfully think you’ve overemphasized to conclude US government involved in anthrax attacks.

Reading Greenwald, facts show 1 US scientist involved and false info given to ABC by 4 sources at Ft. Dietrich. Sources could have received false info especially if likely culprit fudged tests or falsified results.

We can’t conclude a damned thing at this point because the available information is incapable of supporting anything stronger than rumor and speculation and tinfoil hat conspiracy theories. Which are already starting to make their inevitable appearance.

With information this poor, all we’re going to see on the blogs by way of “conclusions” is a gigantic version of the Rorschach inkblot test.

This is the way things like this fall out. Read a careful sociological history of any widespread epidemic prior to modern medicine, and quite a few after it’s arrival, and that’s what you’re going to see.

You know what most Americans blamed cholera on, prior to microbiology and the clear demonstration that vibrio cholorensis was the root cause? Immoral lifestyles, that’s what.

Let’s not play this game again. I’ve seen it before and it bores the shit out of me.

Why did all the anthrax go to Democratic officeholders, other than the one letter that went to a tabloid photo editor in Florida?
Wouldn’t real enemies of our country be sending the stuff to the top Republicans?
