I had the sutures adjusted this morning and now my eye is blood red like a vampire (although Lutton says it’s more like a werewolf), which would make me popular in certain circles.
Maya was there to hold my hand through the worst of it - it really hurt a couple of times. Now my eyes are trying to see together and it’s very odd after all this time. The doctor said my eyes will be fighting it out for a while as the one eye will try to go back to its old way of seeing. (Kind of like being in a new relationship!)
Right now, there’s a feeling like a giant piece of grit in the corner of my eye where they tied off the suture. That’s not so bad. The thing that hurts is the extreme muscle strain whenever my eye looks anywhere but straight ahead.
