Ah, you missed the point. They’re about transcendence or HIGHER LOVE (”One Big Love” as Patty Griffin puts it), which is about the only thing that will ever solve anything. And yes, it begins with each of us, if I can be hokey for a moment.

Oh, now I get it; instead of complaining about the darkness, light a candle. I try really hard to do this, but I still find myself complaining about the darkness. Thanks for the continued encouragement, (especially given your current circumstances). You are an amazing person.

It’s hard to remember sometimes that lots of little changes and random acts of kindness can effect change on a larger scale. You just never know how far a small ripple will spread. See also: butterfly wing, hurricane.
