The Ohio congresswoman was one of the heroes shown in Michael Moore’s “Fahrenheit 911″ who stood up for disenfranchised African-American voters and against the theft of the 2000 election. She also opposed the certification of vote results from Ohio in 2004 (which is more than the Kerry campaign did):
