It now looks as though the person who shot the head of the Arkansas Democratic Party was another unhinged wingnut who hated Democrats. (Thanks to the commenter who pointed this out.)

What is it with these hard-luck right-wing guys who blame all their problems on liberals/blacks/women/jews/immigrants or whoever, and go on rampages? I guess some people just have an innate need for scapegoats. One of the lessons I remember best from Sociology 100 is that when people go through hard times, they often look for someone to blame, and they usually take it out on lower status people.
Who was talking about Republicans being sociopaths, with no empathy?
