I Can’t Get Away

From the allergens! I slept on the couch last night while I aired out the paint fumes from my bedroom, but apparently there’s so much dust in the living room, they invaded my respiratory passages and I woke up with a killer sinus headache, the kind where you’d gladly slice away the top front quadrant of your head. (Or maybe it’s just another paint reaction.) Oh well. This too shall pass.

my sore throat has morphed into a head cold. I wonder if this is from the spackling dust or if it is just a coincidence?
now, I am all light headed and shaky.
regardless, I will be wearing a mask for even the most rudimentary sanding from now on.
One thing that did help with the fumes though was to put one of those dual window fans in the window and set it to blow out.
You can’t even smell any paint in my house.
I’ve had a big box fan in the window set at high and blowing out for 48 hours now. It still smells like paint.
i don’t have bad allergies, just sneezing and a runny nose, but it’s been pretty bad this week. with the humidity out of the air, i wonder if that gives more room for ragweek pollen to float around
Ideas:
Sleep with a mask on.
Leave pan of water near window.
Get activated charcoal (hardware or pet store — they use it in aquariums) to absorb some of it.
Hey, thanks! The sleep mask helped a lot.
