It occurred to me watching the RNC last night that whoever designed their set for the convention either hates Republicans, or is a blithering moron. Their is no way in hell a competent designer, or one who isn’t full of hate, would think that putting the speakers in front of a giant video screen displaying plain blue most of the time was a good idea.

The blue screen simulates the heavenly vault. And that is as close to heaven as these loons are ever going to get. These folks want “Hastened the End Times” on their resumes — if you’re smart, you’ll do everything you can to keep them out of office.

Hey, it makes it easy to photoshop (or chroma-key) in a different background.

That’s a deliberate shout-out to the kidz at Fark.com. They don’t like to work very hard at ’shopping, so they appreciate stuff like this.
