The FBI and Department of Homeland Security today issued an analytical “note” to U.S. law-enforcement officials cautioning that al-Qaida terrorists have in the past expressed interest in attacking public buildings using a dozen suicide bombers each carrying 20 kilograms of explosives.
Authors with the U.S. Office of Intelligence and Analysis added that they have “no credible or specific information that terrorists are planning operations against public buildings in the United States.” The FBI and DHS analysts said they were releasing the note because “it is important for local authorities and building owners and operators to be aware of potential attack tactics.”
In other words, this is just another movie plot threat that the geniuses at the DHS and the FBI pulled out of their asses in order to hype the scare.

The FBI needs to be reduced to pieces on the floor and rebuilt from scratch. After about 2/3 of the senior administrators have been sacked. They have become a danger to the nation, and they will remain so as long as they are incompetently run and their dysfunctional organizational culture remains intact.
The DHS simply needs to be broken up, period, end of sentence. They are a patronage turkey farm and a bottomless pit sucking down prodigious amounts of money and talent and resources we badly need to do real work with.

Yep, as the election nears, the price of gas drops and the terrorist threat rises. Imagine that. And, to add to what Stormcrow said, I’d love to see the word “Homeland” completely abolished.
