I took a look at the draft bill (a .pdf) through the NY Times. It’s 361 pages. The Unemployment Extension moves one end date from February 28, 2010 to May 31, 2010. Helpful but it’s crazy making to have these small amounts of time added.
The best I can tell about our anti-democratic senate, Obama can use reconciliation, but doesn’t hell knows why.
I’m not panicking. There isn’t going to be an omnibus jobs bill anyway — the president is breaking up reform into smaller bills.
