That’s kinda like when I looked at the Enron Web site way back in the naive summer of 2001. Couldn’t figure out what they did. Turns out we found out.
If they join the AFL-CIO they can have some leverage over political moves regarding unemployed people. It takes a leader and a leadership group to move a potential union to the forefront. Since unemployment is with us to stay for a long time, good number of years, representing the dispossessed may be a must. If we consider 2012, health care reform still waiting for 2013, Obama may be replaced by a Taliban (GOP) and the percentage of such union members may grow drastically.
Worthy idea that awaits expansion.
