High school kids can now work an eight-hour shift after school. This allows businesses to fill their ranks with low-paid children instead of paying a living wage to adults. Progress!

Really, their goal is not just to repeal the Great Society and the New Deal, but to go clear back to before 1900 repealing the child labor laws and even the Pure Food and Drug Act. (I read one of these guys mention the “too big” Food and Drug Administration the other day.)
If they could do it, they would re-institute slavery and truly go back to the “original intent” of the constitution they are always talking about. Obama and the democrats will not understand that you cannot give these people an inch. Their whole strategy is to keep pulling back one inch at a time, and they will never stop until they get what they want.
What Pragmatic Realist said. I’ve been saying since Reagan and Poppy Bush that the desire is to get back to the Pre-Progressive Era at the very least.
And some want to get back to pre-Magna Carta (I’m lookin’ at you, Scalia).
