Dems, too, are helping undo ‘grand bargain’

This on-target piece in Washington Post is about the contemporary conservative agenda, but it’s not only about so-called conservatives. Which politicians do you trust these days?

  1. “Which politicians do you trust these days?” That’s a trick question right? If anybody over the age of 6 has EVER trusted any politician he or she must never have spelled EVIAN backwards. Walter Lippmann said, “Successful……politicians are insecure and intimidated men (and women). They advance politically only as they placate, appease, bribe, seduce, bamboozle or otherwise manage and manipulate the demanding and threatening elements in their constituencies.” And Lippmann stole that from a cave drawing which dated back some 15,000 years.

  2. You mean undo the New Deal, don’t you? I thought the Grand Bargain was about Obama and his allies killing the New Deal in exchange for giving back one or two of Bush’s tax breaks for the rich. If only there were some Dems up to “undoing” that.
