Well, it is November. The Perfect Storm happened in November and the Edmund Fitzgerald was a victim in one of the great lakes in November. Which lake is Gitchee-Gummi?
Where are the birds, I wonder. I always look to the birds.
It’s the one with the wigwam of Nokomis (daughter of the moon, Nokomis)…
One of those little blobs between AK and Russia is St. Lawrence island. Nothing taller than the foot-tall Arctic willow. The 1300 people there are enduring 90 mph winds and subzero temps. Oh, and there’s no way to help them. I’ve heard that they had to evacuate Nome on the coast of AK. It’s not LA or NYC, but people are still in danger for their lives.

The IEA says we’re approaching the point (avg. temp increase of 2 degrees C) of no return – after which the damage will be irreversible and extreme weather (or worse) will be a permanent feature.
