  4. That’s how much it cost when we built it. New motherboard with a better power supply this time… and we need to replace the case to hold the larger power supply.

  7. What a brilliant solution. Why didn’t I think of that? Maybe I can ask my kid who works in the Apple store why their service department is so backed up, since nothing ever goes wrong with Macs.

  8. Found a similar business to my link above in your neck of the woods (Harrisburg, PA 17110). These refurbed Dells are cheap & reliable, I have several here all bought for ~$100, and they work fine for light-duty stuff other than video production, 3-D modeling or heavy-duty CAD/layout work. Plus Dell makes nothing from them as they are used!

  9. all I can say, is sorry I can’t send anything, recently forced to fork out way too much (all I could afford, actually more than I could afford) to ‘stay on line’ (since it is now an absolute requirement to attain a ‘job,’ unless one is owed favors by those in the R and D Party[s], in which case, they are not required to know anything about computers, or warp speed changing bizness software) while being told, in so many words, that I could expect that investment to become absolutely worthless in about a year.

    If I ever attain ‘a living’ again, I’ll send you something Susan.
