  1. I’m so jaded about this conversation. It doesn’t matter how many times the ‘austerity’ crowd is shown to be abysmally, horrendously, breathtakingly wrong. You’ll never hear Krugman quoted beyond these few appearances. In Media, the millionaire talking heads have cornered the market.

  2. Everyone was very polite — until the two conservatives began to see they were losing the argument. First the woman (MP) tried to talk over Krugman, then the other guy. But only tad.

Notice that the host barely said a word except at the very beginning, introducing everyone, then at the very end.

It was good to watch because there wasn’t the American style of just totally filibustering or talking over so much their opponent couldn’t be heard, would have to start over, etc.

  3. 1.5 million Irish voters, out of 3.13 million who were eligible, went to the polls yesterday and voted to put themselves further into slavery. 60.3% of these dumb Irish Catholics chose feudalism and the rule by the 1% over freedom. The literacy rate in Ireland may by high, but the ability to critically think a problem through is very, very low. Stupid Mic’s.
