There will be a rapid rise in unemployment if the transportation bill is allowed to expire on June 30. Unless the Republican House takes some action soon on this bill, 1.9 million Americans will find themselves on the unemployment line begining July 1. That will increase the unemployment percentage by 2 full points to 10.7% by election day. This is just another Republican ploy to hurt Obama’s reelection chances. What’s worse is that the Republicans will hurt millions of American citizens in the process. Something they apparently couldn’t care less about as long as they ‘get’ Obama.
