Big man on boardwalk

Imagine. Like this out-of-shape bully could do anything other than sit on the guy?

Things got downright HOSTILE on the Jersey Shore last night — with NJ Governor Chris Christie getting into a heated verbal altercation right on the boardwalk … and it was all caught on tape.

Gov. Christie (R-NJ) was hangin’ with his family in Seaside Heights … and had just ordered an ice cream cone when a passerby fired off some snide comments about Christie’s policy on education.

Christie got PISSED — and while clutching his cone, shouted back at the guy, “You’re a real big shot … you’re a real big shot shootin’ your mouth off.”

The man shouted back, “Nah, just take care of the teachers!”

The comment only enflamed Christie … who aggresively marched towards the guy and warned, “Keep walkin’ away … really good … keep walkin’.”

Soon after, someone in Christie’s party put his arm around the 49-year-old and escorted him in the other direction.

FYI — Christie, one of the prime contenders for the Republican Vice Presidential nomination, has recently signed legislation expanding public funding for charter schools … a decision that has infuriated some who would prefer the money go towards struggling public schools.

  1. this is awesome for so many reasons.
    1) it shows how thin-skinned the governor is. I hope more people take the opportunity to bait him into a reaction. The ads, as they say, write themselves.
    2) It hastens the day that the fat tub of guts has the heart attack he deserves. Fatso isn’t getting any younger or any lighter: in fact, he’s only getting bigger. He has asthma, and he probably has sleep apnea as well. Dude is an excellent candidate for a thrombosis.
[I normally don’t go after people for their weight, except in the case of bullies like Christie or Limbaugh. And that’s because they’re bullies, not because they’re fat.]

  2. On NYC local late night news last night, CBS showed the video (or parts of it) and then provided the governor’s spokesman’s version, which was that the man had used “foul language” and the gov was only speaking up to protect his children.

And they said all of the explanatory part twice!!!, then closed with “tsk tsks” about citizens not being polite in front of children, in public, etc.

(Now I was typing and didn’t pay total attention to the video, but I’m pretty sure I got the gist of the news readers attempt to make Christie look at least OK.)
