The secret plan

Shhhh!

WASHINGTON — Mitt Romney started to lay out his energy plan at a Tuesday event, but because there were reporters in the room, he decided against doing so.

During a Houston fundraiser, Romney told a room of about 125 donors that he planned to unveil his comprehensive energy plan this week. He said his proposal will specifically relate to fossil-based fuels. But then, he said no more.

“I know that we have members of the media here right now, so I’m not going to go through that in great detail,” Romney said, according to a pool report from the event.

  1. A few years ago a local gentleman decided to run for town council, but he didn’t want to tell anyone his plan because the other side would steal it. I said, “Bobby, you have to tell people why they should elect you, you have to give them a reason to change sides.”

    I guess I was wrong.

  2. Does anyone except for the right wing nuts in the Republican Party really care about what any of Romney’s plans are? When you stop and think about it each of his plans has only one goal in mind anyway. And that is to make the 1% richer so that they can own 50% of our wealth instead of the 40% they own today. Here’s an interesting factoid. The opposition in Germany began looking into Hitler’s tax returns (he was a very wealthy man) after he won his first big election victory. He soon became Chancellor and demanded that the Minister of Taxation exempt him from being required to submit tax returns each year. Because, he argued, that information could be used by his opponents to destabilize the government. His request was granted, big surprise, and Hitler never filed another tax return. He died a billionaire (war profits make some people much wealthier than they already are).
