Penn State

So this is getting very interesting. These charges mean Gov. Corbett and his former AG’s staff can be called as witnesses about the Sandusky case:

“These charges are the work of a vindictive and politically motivated governor working through an un-elected attorney general, Linda Kelly, whom he appointed to do his bidding and who will be a lame duck five days from now.”

Mr. Spanier’s attorneys accuse the governor of “manipulating public officials and resources to settle a personal score” against their client.

Mr. Lewis said as an example that he has witnesses who will testify that after the Penn State board of trustees’ meeting when Mr. Spanier resigned last November that Mr. Corbett and his staff were seen celebrating Mr. Spanier’s departure at a State College restaurant.

“We also have been made aware that Corbett was furious that Dr. Spanier was seen hosting his opponent for governor, Dan Onorato, in the president’s box at a home football game during the campaign,” Mr. Lewis said.

  1. All of which accusations against Corbett can be 100% true, yet not absolve Spanier.

Toss ’em all in the sex-offender wing of the pen, and be done with it, sez I.

  2. When the law is on your side, pound the law. When the facts are on your side, pound the facts. When neither is on your side, pound the table.

Corbett is not a nice man, but Spanier is table pounding…

  3. They are all – and I mean every last stinking one of them – guilty of hiding this mess. Expose Corbett – what a delight! He never did a damn thing! One person assigned? Corbett was also on the Bd of Directors for Penn State and received massive campaign contributions (hush money) from Second Mile.

Expose Spanier – lying mealy-mouthed holier-than-thou hypocrite! Expose Linda Kelly as just a Corbett lackey!

Expose Cynthia Baldwin who surely is guilty of gross attorney misconduct – accompanying Schultz and Curry into the grand jury and then later testifying against them? What was she doing there in the first place if she wasn’t their attorney? She should be disbarred. As should Kelly for allowing her to be in there. None of these charges may stick because of that – and maybe it was all done that way on purpose.

Also, Paterno was guilty as all hell. Too bad he’s dead. Disgusting egomaniac.

Then someone at some point has got to get to Second Mile. That place was a supply house of kids for sexual abuse.
