Republican strategery

What a brilliant idea! Attack Hillary Clinton, the most admired woman in America, because she might run for president in four years. Boy, those congressional Republicans are smart. Remember these poll results from last month?

A new Washington Post/ABC News poll finds broad support for a potential 2016 presidential run by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, including a surprising amount of Republican women that say they would support her candidacy.

Overall, 57 percent of the poll’s respondents said they would support a Clinton candidacy. That includes 35 percent of Republican women. To put that in perspective, President Barack Obama won just 6 percent of the overall Republican vote this year. Among all women, 66 percent would support Clinton’s potential bid in 2016.

Clinton is riding a wave of popularity as she prepares to leave her post as Secretary of State in Obama’s second term. Sixty-six percent of adults view her favorably, an all-time high in the poll. This includes 67 percent of self-identified Independents.

And 68 percent approve of the way she is handling her job as secretary of state. That includes 65 percent of Independents — and 40 percent of Republicans.

I guarantee you: Those numbers will be even higher tomorrow.

  1. Hillary took responsibility for, but not the blame for what happened in Benghazi. Do you expect ‘me’ to read all 1.5 million cables sent to my office every year? Nope. But we do expect our “leaders” to prioritize. Today Libya is an open-air arms bazaar with al-Quead fighters stealing Libyan heavy weaponry and distributing it to militants all over North Africa. Including to militants in Mali who have seized the northern half of that country and forced the French army to intervene in a rather nasty little war. Hillary, along with her neo-con soul mate John McCain, push hard for and got regime change in Libya. “We came, we saw, we killed him,” she gloated. Our next president? Sure, if you want another neo-con willing to start wars all over the globe sitting in the Oval Office. Don’t ever underestimate the stupidity of the American people when it comes to celebrity worship.

  2. The senator seems to deny there were in fact actual protests going on, with real honest to god non-‘Al Qaeda’ alligned protesters. I guess on FOX….
H.C. is arguably much less of a neocon than BHO, and arguably more progressive than either BC or BHO. Is she Paul Wellstone? No, but Paul Wellstone is dead.

  3. Amazing how lucid Imho can be when there is no election pending. But come 2016 when the choice is the evil Christy or the endorsed Hillary, all will be forgiven.
