    Exactly. And that applies to a lot of other areas of our lives, too.
    Working with the land, especially.

    In addition to devolving back to helmets that offer some protection but cannot be used as weapons, you know what else I’d like to see, especially at the college level?

    Ties. All this baloney about ‘but we’ve got to have a winner; otherwise we can’t possibly rank the teams correctly’.

    Bull feathers. Ties used to be kind of nice, especially for the underdog team.

    And you just can’t let this year’s Super Bowl pass by without mentioning the term “blackout”.

    Good grief. What more tangible evidence do you need of an Empire that functions on Bread and Circuses entering its decline and collapse phase than the lights going out during its biggest ‘whoop de doo let’s charge air time for God knows how many $$$ millions per 30 seconds while these two squads of gladiators beat each others brains out and we all watch’?

    “American Exceptionalism” has come to this.

    The only thing that would have made it better would have been if we had had a “fly over” to keep us safe when the lights went out.
