Big deal. Instead of living on less than $1.25 a day everybody gets a raise to $1.50 per day. Yiippeee, no more extreme poverty. What a load of crap the World Bank is.
World bank has a caveat in fine print : “if pigs could fly”.
Another possibility – more realistic one – climate crisis wipes out the planet and hey no humans, no poverty.
I have seen this optimism nonsense movie many times before – remember how stock markets were to make us rich, send us kids to college and enable us to retire at 45? Or how housing prices would never go down? YEAH……
