So a 4-year-old shoots a 6-year-old. If only the 6-year-old had been armed!
TOMS RIVER, N.J. – April 9, 2013 (WPVI) — A 6-year-old is in a New Jersey hospital with a gunshot wound, and police say the shooter was a 4-year-old neighbor.
It appears the shooting happened just after 7:00 p.m. Monday in the yard of a home on McCormick Drive in Toms River, Ocean County.
According to police, a 4-year-old child shot his 6-year-old neighbor with a .22 caliber rifle.
There are reports the younger child’s mother is the one who called police.
In TN over the weekend a 4 year old shot and killed a law enforment’s wife. Fun with guns!
When I moved to NJ in the early 80’s, there were several incidents of kids playing with guns and killing or wounding friends or family.
I thought there were some pretty strong laws requiring safe lock ups for any guns in homes….
I wonder who left the gun out? Or the case unlocked?
