This looks like a real must-read book. I’ve been writing for what seems like forever about the militarization of our police forces, and make no mistake: There is very little accountability anymore. Hardly any, in fact.
‘I thought they were going to shoot me next’
The first line of defense (for the 1%) in any community is the police force. And a militarized local police force is surely the way to go. For ‘them’. But not for us living right here in all of those communities real close to ground zero. Where the militarized police forces ply their wares.
