  1. Kerry said the remaining forces would have “a very limited role, it is entirely train, equip, and assist. There is no combat role for the United States forces.”

John’s having another Vietnam blackout, I see.

  2. Anyone who believes that it’s a good idea to keep even one U.S. combat soldier past 2014 or “until 2024 and beyond” is: 1) a neo-con 2) a warmonger 3) an establishment Republican OR 4) a right wing Clintonite. That’s what you are. No mattter what your reasoning is. So embrace your neo-con, warmongering, establishment Republican or right wing Clintonite self and be proud. Just keep in mind what Martin Luther King said, “Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.” Hubris.

  3. If our role is to entirely “train, equip, and assist” – couldn’t we do that from a considerable distance? Come in once in a while to put on seminars on the latest and the greatest?

Seriously – why do we have maintain a large presence constantly to “train and equip”?

Do the equipment and the battle tactics change THAT often, for crying out loud?

Oh, by the way – would the American people ever get asked if they think it’s a good idea to stay there constantly for decades on end?

Silly question. I’ll just leave and go off and count up how many $ 3 bills I have.
