  1. Paul Ryan, “Extending unemployment benefits would blow a $20 to $25 billion dollar hole in our budget.” Getting out of Afghanistan completely by the end of 2014 would save us $20 to $25 billion dollars. So would NOT adding back $20 billion dollars to defense which the Ryan-Murray budget does. Ryan, “Increasing the minimum wage to $10.00 an hour is a bad idea for our economy. It would cost us jobs.” The historical evidence proves that Ryan and the Republicans are dead wrong about that. The Republicans are ready and willing to sacrifice the unemployed, the underpaid, and our men and women in uniform in Afghanistan simply to enrich the war profiteers and the 1%.

  2. Talking up the “grand bargain”?

    Jon, you should know better.

Somebody introduce Stewart to Dean Baker.
