I’m so, so tired of these bigoted old white men:
CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — A police commissioner in a predominantly white New Hampshire town says he won’t apologize for calling President Barack Obama the N-word.
Wolfeboro Police Commissioner Robert Copeland has acknowledged in an email to his fellow police commissioners he used the racial slur in describing Obama.
Resident Jane O’Toole says she overheard him use the slur in a restaurant and wrote to town officials to complain. Copeland wrote back and sent her part of his previous email, saying he believed he used the N-word ‘‘in reference to the current occupant of the Whitehouse’’ and Obama ‘‘meets and exceeds’’ his criteria for such.
The three-member police commission held a meeting Thursday. Residents who spoke at the meeting called for the resignation of Copeland, who’s 82 and white. Copeland sat with his arms crossed.
“Bigoted (old) white men.” Is Karl Rove not just as bigoted? Or Sulzberger of the New York Times? One on age and the other against women. The 1% good old boy club which makes up the oligarchy is riddled with prejudices. They set the tone in our society. This group needs an attitude adjustment.
People like Copeland, Phil Robertson, and Donald Sterling are beginning to give old farts a bad name.
