Why do we trust Wall Street to ever do the right thing in our capitalist economy? Why do we continue to allow the oligarchy to get rich using the capitalist system to legally steal from us? It’s one thing to write laws and quite another to enforce those laws. Enforcement requires the expenditure of money. The oligarchy doesn’t allow its wholly owned political class, especially the Republicans, to spend tax dollars trying to end the corruption practiced by the them (1%). The economics of capitalism breeds corruption and yet we allow it to exist. Why?
