One of the worst examples of this “support” occurred two Sunday’s ago. 100% of the media, including the so-called media on the Left, used the following quote, “The UN has issued hollow words against Assad.” The al-Nusra Front said those words in explaining why it took control of the Golan Heights from Syrian military forces. But that was only 1/2 of what al-Nusra said. They also said, “The UN peacekeepers were imposed on the Syrian people to guarantee the security and protection of the Zionist entity that is invading Muslim lands.” Adding that last bit changes the entire context of what al-Nusra was up to. Today we have the neo-con (Zionist) interventionists demanding that Obama bomb Syria. Syria is a sovereign country. Just like Ukraine. Since when has it become OK for the United States to bomb a sovereign country and at the same moment condemn, boycott and threaten another country who may or may not be doing a similar thing? Just who the fuck do we think we are anyway? Perhaps the media on the Left can answer that question?
