If you don’t like your credit rating from Standard & Poor or Moody’s then ask for a new account executive and bribe him/her. If you don’t like how critical the ‘independent’ audit company is about the way you’re keeping your books then hire a new company. Of course it can’t be the Arthur Andersen Company because they got busted and run out of business. “Kill the messenger” is the capitalist way. Doing the right and ethical thing is for suckers in America.
I can’t believe these “journalists” wouldn’t identify the scummy accounting firm that fired the guy.
Of course we can’t have certified public accountants of all people pointing out corporate malfeasance and fraud. Their job is to cover that shit up, or at least polish it and spritz a little channel No. 5 on it. Or isn’t it?
They did identify the company in the followup article. It was Price Waterhouse, I think.
