I have this trackball mouse, it’s the least painful to use. And many, many times a day, I knock the mouse off my keyboard tray and the trackball falls out into the black hole that is under my desk.
On a good day, it will hit on the right side of the computer wires and roll somewhere close enough that I can get it without getting out of my chair. Sometimes it will hit one of the sneakers I’ve kicked off nearby and bounce back into a perfect position to scoop up.
I counted yesterday: I did this 28 times. Arghh.
28 times!? Perhaps a redesign of the workspace is called for??
You got that right! Right after I wrote this post, the trackball fell out, bounced and hit the on/off switch on a power strip, knocking me offline. Took about 25 minutes to get up and running again.
Boy am I glad that I’m computer illerterite. Trackballs, black holes, mouses, and what the hell is a keyboard?
Maybe a little double-sided tape under that bad boy.
Then the ball won’t track.
