So this is the second crude-oil train crash in 72 hours (there was one this weekend in Ontario). Yay, deregulation! Yay, petroleum-based economy!
Two West Virginia towns are being evacuated after a train carrying crude oil derailed nearby, local media report.
Emergency officials said that people from towns of Adena Village and Boomer Bottom are being evacuated. At least one tank car ended up in a local river, while another slammed into a house and burst into flames.
Several fire departments are working to contain the flames and the Department of Homeland Security as well as the Department of Environmental Protection have been notified of the accident, the Charleston Gazette reports.
It’s not nice to attack free-market Capitalists who want to deregulate and privatize America and the world. Known as Republicans and Democrats.
In 1854 in a small New Hampshire town a group of disgruntled Democrats started the Republican Party. (The history books tell another story.) These Democrats could not longer defend a party that supported slavery. They were the Progressives and Leftists of their day.
The Democratic Party of today has a similar problem with it’s base. Those John Boner calls “Left-wing extremists and anarchists.”
This group of Democrats can no longer support (1) a political party controlled by a dynasty—-Clinton and (2) a foreign policy that fights small, limited, costly wars instead of pursuing peace.

I am oft reminded of an old “I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter” commercial, and the cartoon Bambi meets Godzilla. The commercial starts out all sweetness and light, flutes and flowers and Mother Nature skipping merrily through the sunshine… until she realizes her muffin isn’t buttered, it is spread with hydroginated oil and BAM!, Like Bambi meeting Godvilla it’s thunder and lightening, earthquakes, volcanoes, tidal waves. It’s not nice to fool Mother Nature.
History shows us again and again how Nature proves out the folly of Man. Godzilla!
We’re killing ourselves off, perhaps even in our lifetimes, in the name of a bloodthirsty money grubbing dog.
The train cars now burning also are a new “safer” tanker car. Back to the drawing board, eh?
If you drive an automobile or heat your living space then you are a party to this environmental disaster. “We have met the enemy and they are us.”
It’s time to free our minds instead.
