Another crazy week

USA - 2015

I arranged to have a cab pick me up at home and take me to the chiropractor’s office. Did he show up? No. He called and told me he couldn’t make it. I called the cab company to yell at them, they told me they would send another cab. Another cab showed up, I got in it. At the chiro’s office, my phone rings: It’s the cab driver. “I’m here to pick you up.”

Someone already picked me up, I explain.

The phone rings again. It’s the cab company dispatcher. “Your cab is outside your house.”

“A cab came and picked me up. Wasn’t that from your company?”

Exasperated sigh. “I don’t know.” Hangs up.

Then my chiro wants to know the insurance claim number, for billing. “I don’t know,” I said. “I made an online accident report the day of the accident, I haven’t heard back from them.” (All accident-related treatment has to go through the car insurance first.)

So I call them. I give the insurance person my policy number. Guess what? “We don’t have a claim for you.” Now, I’m really pissed off, because it was really long and complicated, and she tells me they can do it now, over the phone.

“I’m in the doctor’s office right now for treatment. I’ll have to call you later.”

Don’t any systems work anymore?

And I just found out my car won’t be ready before the weekend at the earliest. :<

No. (And, that’s a feature, not a bug. It’s so we get tired of the runaround and give up going through the system.)
