So last night, while I was sleeping, a shelf in the storage closet in my downstairs hallway collapsed, spewing assorted cans of paint all over the place. I will have to pay to replace the carpeting. Oh joy.

Did the landlord put the shelf in? If so, s/he should be responsible when it collapses due to shoddy construction.
Something to talk about with the landlord anyway. You really can’t be responsible for the integrity of the structure. That said, retrograde Mercury or Uranus in opposition? Happy Holidays Suze!
