The risk of cops shooting in cases involving the mentally ill or developmentally delayed is much higher than usual. Maybe cops should be trained better.

  1. Jesus, this is getting to common to ALL be accidental. First, we hear reports of the officer involved stating he didn’t know WHY he shot and now the police union stating he was actually shooting at the sitting guy with a toy truck in his hand! Even if they are accidental, what kind of training results ‘accidentally’ in this kind of scenario? Roll up on a scene, shoot people, then figure out what’s happening.
