I said all along that some of the things Bernie said were so negative, there might be no turning back.
Yesterday, when he spoke to a large group at the DNC and urged his supporters to support the Clinton/Kaine ticket, he was booed.

Bernie looked surprised. I wasn’t. I said all along that teaching an entire generation that the Democratic party (and Hillary) were hopelessly corrupt and that Bernie was the only one who could save us presented some serious general election problems — namely, how do you create unity when you’ve so effectively created division?
When his supporters boo, they prove they’re not part of a political movement but only a personality cult. Bernie did not train his troops. He did not explain the long-term goals, or the realistic achievements. He sold them the moon, and now they’re angry.
He has proved that he’s not really a leader, after all. He tried helplessly to get them to behave, and they ignored him.
Here is what I want to say to the Bernie holdouts (and understand, it’s a relatively small group — 85% of them are rallying around Hillary):
This is bigger than you. If you don’t understand the urgency of stopping the Orange Hitler, you are hopelessly naive. This is someone who, quite literally, has the support of the former head of the KGB. Why?
Think about that.
We not only need to win the White House, we need to turn out such a decisive victory that Republicans are crushed for years to come. We will need every single vote we can muster.
This is a pivotal moment in our history. Pay attention to the big picture, not your feelings.
Bernie did not create or teach the zeitgeist that the Democratic Party is corrupt. What did Schumer and company do about that obscene hedge fund bracket when they had control? Exactly whose money is Hillary vacuuming up into those PACs? The ringing endorsement of Clinton’s e-mail system by the FBI, that’s Bernie’s doing too I suppose. How is it that the EPA went so squishy around issues of fracking? Barrack’s embrace of that “gold standard” TPP, no connection to funding there either. The problem isn’t that the young voters are being mislead, Hillary’s problem is that the long con of Citizens United has been exposed and Hillary blithely marches on playing by those rules. There is your big picture and it ranges way beyond your patronizing dismissive about young voters’ feefees. The cult of Clinton criticizing the cult of Sanders is pretty rich.
Citizens United Not Terrorized was an anti-Hillary group (C.U.N.T.) in case yo didn’tnotice. And I heard the same stuff about how Barack Obama as an ouysider nonEstablishmentarian was gonna do this and do that and oh yeah Hillary is the worst person EVAR, all recycled 90’s GOP talking points, re-recycled by the Sandersbros just like the Obamabros. And then Barack chose Cass Sunstein the biggest pro corporatist whore ever spawned to be his chief econ adviser.Yeah Barack, not Hillary.
And then the DNC didn’t let anyone primary or challenge Sanders in Vermont, any real Democrat, for YeARS, that’s how corrupt and beholden they were.
And AL FRanken and Elizabeth Warren (who has done more FOR the little people who rely on the banking system not to screw them than Bernie ever has) are sell outs for supporting HRC. Oh yeah, and Keith Ellison must be, too.
