More climate change

Mouse Trap

Why are there mice back in my apartment — in AUGUST? Because they couldn’t stand the heat?

Why did none of these little assholes take the bait on the traps I put out last night?

And why did one of them crawl inside the motor of my refrigerator, where its rotting carcass has been spewing its odor throughout my workspace for more than a week?

It is the single worst stink I have ever smelled. My sinuses hurt.

  1. I lived in an old house a few years back where something opossum-sized crawled into the wall and decided to die in there. Short of taking the whole damn house apart, there was no way to deal with it. So for about 5 weeks it stank to high heaven, and in the middle of winter we had every window wide open and fans blowing air through on high.

A mouse, being a lot smaller, shouldn’t take more than about 3 weeks to stop stinking. You’re probably thinking that’s not good news….

  2. a little saucer of vinegar upwind of you can make considerable difference.

bait mousetraps with peanut butter. mice aren’t really attracted to cheese
