  1. You do great reporting here, on Shareblue. I’m not on Twitter, but sometimes I see your tweets reposted by others. Also excellent. Would there be a problem posting/reposting all your output here? (Maybe Shareblue or others would object?) Maybe not all the tweets, but a “best of,” or maybe one of those sidebar widgets that shows what you’ve posted on twitter.

Posts by others that you repost are also well selected, so I’m not suggesting dropping those. It’d just be great to get all of my SusieMadrak fix in one place.

As for the traffic thing, isn’t it a pretty sure thing if you gin up some stupid “controversy” nobody needs? I’d be kind of sad to see that, but if it’s an ad dollar issue, I guess you do what you gotta do. I get the impression there’s a systemic problem. The whole web is turning into a poo-flinging contest, and it’s easier to fling twitpoo than blogpoo.

  2. I view you exclusively on mobile (iphone4). I’ve noticed embedded articles, like from C&L, are not mobile-friendly: they don’t scale down so I can only see the first 1/3-2/3 of the left-hand side of the article (even if I turn my device on its side). If there are links to the source article, I can’t see them. If it’s a super-hot news item, I’ll hope that it gets picked up by a mobile-friendly feed that I can read it later.

I watch all your items as they roll by, but I tend to stop nowadays if I see that you have written something because I know I’ll be able to read your original text.

I appreciate your commentary as well as your eye for what’s noteworthy. You do great work and I wish I could hit up your site more regularly. I hope this helps in some way with pulling the site stats up.

  3. 1. You might analyze your visitor count / muisic video post count to see if there’s an inverse relationship. I have no interest in Suzie’s Jukebox, unless it introduces me to new music that I would like.

    2. Art for Folk is great. Now branch out. Ashleigh Brilliant had it’s time, too.

    3. Infrequently posting political content/commentary that is either:
–Frist! (Before the other blogs cover the territory) or
–Fresh! (Takes an original, more accurate, or deeper approach to the same territory) or
–Funny (Humor sells. Dour doesn’t); pessimism is optional.

Sorry, but you asked. Just one regular reader’s opinion, and not authoritative or expert.

  4. Just got over a terrible bout w/cancer. Still have some time left for scans and bloodwork. But thank God the cancer is in remission and I can come back to check you out. Susie, I’ve ALWAYS kept you bookmarked for better than 8 years now! Keep on pushing…………………

  5. I asked my tech guy. He said it’s almost always a problem with the person’s browser security settings, or an ad blocker. Play around with it, see if it makes a difference. Let me know!

  6. I’m here everyday as well Susie. No expert but seems like you have several thoughtful advisors! <3
