The CBO just released the numbers on the impact of repealing the Affordable Care Act without any replacement, and they’re ugly. According to the report, 18 million will lose their insurance in the first year, with up to 32 million losing insurance in the years following. Worse yet, the CBO expects premiums to double under theā€¦

    You forgot the 150 or so House Republicans, maybe 30 Republican Senators who will be politically dead as a door nail. The one big survivor will be Medicare, because even a Democrat can’t muff “doing for Medicare what they did to Obamacare!”

    But the ACA has extended the life of Medicare by 10 years.

    CBO evaluates the economic impact of every bill, every amendment. Reality is never kind to Rethug policy. But reality has never stopped 21st Century Russ . . . sorry, Republican evil.

    What continues to floor me is the number of people who don’t realize, can’t fathom, that the ACA and Obamacare are the same freaking thing!

    Interesting point, Ron. Reminds me of the same assholes on Medicare who protested the ACA in the beginning: “”Keep the gubmint out of my healthcare”. Just saying.
