Jon Ossoff, the Georgia Dem who came in first in Tuesday night’s runoff, is a pro-LGBTQ, pro-choice liberal who pulling a near majority in a solid GOP district. Here’s what Bernie said about him

Asked if Mr. Ossoff is a progressive, Mr. Sanders, an independent who challenged Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential primary, demurred. “I don’t know,” he said.

Instead, here’s the guy he’s backing:

He plans to campaign Thursday in Nebraska with Heath Mello, a former Nebraska state senator who in 2009 sponsored legislation requiring women to look at ultrasound image of their fetus before receiving an abortion.

At the time Mr. Mello called the proposal a “positive first step” toward reducing the number of abortions in Nebraska. It became law months later.

Mello is still opposed to abortion. But women’s rights are optional! All Bernie cares about is Wall Street, which strikes me as a tad tone deaf, considering that women are leading the Trump resistance.

I am former Catholic who is still ambivalent about abortion, so I could gave a pass if that was the extent of this persons politics. But it never is. They end up being mushy and over accommodating on every other issue ( not that many pro choice politicians aren’t mushy liberals too). Harry Reid is a good example of mush. And Obama and clintons.
Last straw for me was when prolife organizations endorsed the first gulf war. Wtf? Why did they think their endorsement was so essential that they contradicted pope and own raison d’etre? Ans: cuz they stand for nothing but being dicks.
If they hate abortion/murder so much why can’t they promote birth control or at least tolerate it?
Why is religious liberty so important when it comes to qualms about birth control and abortion and gays having any rights, but my taxes still go to pay for executions and legal defense of death penalty in courts plus illegal wars no matter if I’m Catholic or Quaker or FSM-ist?

Gorsuch is rumored to look favorably on repeal of Griswold v. Connecticut, the ruling that legalized birth control.

Why doesn’t he just repeal the whole constitution?

Hopefully that will be a lonely dissent. I can’t stand seeing his smug mug. Only other people I feel that way about were bush and Obama.
Yet he only has two kids. Unless wife is a beard and marriage is sexless seems like they must have had some help keeping family small.
My parents used rhythm method for 7 years and 4 kids, birth contol for 5 years and two more kids. Finally opted for sterilization. And they didn’t even like each other that much.

Why repeal constitution when you can just interpret it the war King George would have?
