The Russian’s and Trump go way back, as do the Clinton’s and the Russian’s, but Trump’s money came from the Mercer’s, the Koch’s, and the rest of what passes for the Republican establishment these days.
The Russian’s are clever, but it was Cambridge Analytica (Mercer) who had the know how to flip enough counties in Wisconsin, Ohio and Pennsylvania to hand Trump the electoral college vote and the presidency.
The Russian’s helped on the propaganda end.
How do we know where these bots are actually coming from? Spoofing can make a source look like anything the spoofer wants to have known about it.
Hard to determine which side is doing the spoofing.
