Russian bots starting to attack Republican party

Russian-linked bots and trolls have caused a surge in use of the hashtag #ResignPaulRyan on Twitter over the last 48 hours, just as the Republican speaker of the House was returning to his hometown of Wisconsin for a month-long respite from Washington, D.C. The unusual boost in Russian bots targeting a Republican lawmaker was first observed…

  1. I smell a rat.

The Republicans would love to claim that all of the discontent within their ranks is being cause by……Russian bots, left wing extremists, the alt-right fake news media, and so on.

H.R. McMasters is a warmongering troll who should never have been hired.
John Kelly is a White Nationalist fascist who should resign immediately.

The problems that the Republicans are encountering are of their own making.

They should own up to that fact and not blame everyone else for their own stupidity. (Are you listening Democrats?)

After all, not only did the Republican Party allow Trump to be their nominee, they also gave him hundreds of millions of dollars and loads of support while he was running.

  2. “…his hometown of Wisconsin”? Good grief.

And half of Don The Con’s followers are bots and spam sites? I’m beginning to smell voter fraud by the GOP. How many of the bots voted in person? Do you think Donny or his little worm Sessions will get a commission going to investigate?

  3. Imho: I think and hope you might be wrong here. ” they also gave him hundreds of millions of dollars and loads of support while he was running.” The crisis is that the Russians did and they didn’t.

  4. The Russian’s and Trump go way back, as do the Clinton’s and the Russian’s, but Trump’s money came from the Mercer’s, the Koch’s, and the rest of what passes for the Republican establishment these days.

The Russian’s are clever, but it was Cambridge Analytica (Mercer) who had the know how to flip enough counties in Wisconsin, Ohio and Pennsylvania to hand Trump the electoral college vote and the presidency.

The Russian’s helped on the propaganda end.

  5. How do we know where these bots are actually coming from? Spoofing can make a source look like anything the spoofer wants to have known about it.

Hard to determine which side is doing the spoofing.
