The Left was pretty pissed off in the last election.
This 12% voted for Trump as Susan Sarandon suggested, others voted Green, and many others stayed home and sat the election out.
If the Democratic Party is smart they will change their neo-liberal (pro-corporate, interventionist) message so as not to piss the Left off again in 2020.
If the Berners and Steiners were smart they’d vote for Democrats and try and shift the party left.
Blacks have, in overwhelming numbers, voted for Democrats in every election since LB Johnson and have remained, using any measure, on the bottom rung of the ladder economically.
What if Blacks and Hispanics decided to vote for the Berner, the Streiner or just stayed home in 2020?
They still call me a “Hilbot” in the comment section of Crooks and Liars” sometimes when I suggest that stopping Trump’s reelection would be a good idea.
88% did not. As has been thoroughly demonstrated elsewhere, those twelve percent would never have voted dem to begin with. They switched parties not to primary for Sanders bit against Clinton. They would never have voted for him in the general.
