  1. Exactly every dumb person in America who was eligible to vote in the last election voted for Trump. Let’s concede that.

    But that only accounts for about 20% of Trump’s voters. 30% at most.

    The question is why so many undereducated, non-critical thinking Democrats voted for the guy?

    And why so many people of color stayed home?

    We should all worry about the true believers on the fascist right, but we should worry more about why the Democratic Party still doesn’t have a strong Progressive economic message.

    And why the Democratic Party is keeping silent about the expanding wars in Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq and Yemen.

  2. The Electoral College was established to protect slave owners and patricians from the unwashed. We have made broad investments in public education. Now the Electoral College protects the unwashed against the informed. Maybe it is time to repeal that.
