It’s a swamp alright. Stephanie Ruhle this morning noted that Wilber Ross, Trump’s Secretary of Commerce, is affiliated with the Bank of Cyprus. That’s the bank where Paul Manafort deposited $17 million of Russian payments for lobbying on behalf of the pro-Russian candidate in Ukraine.
The oligarchs, through their bought and paid for plutocratic ploiticians in the House and the Senate, tell us that “We must accelerate economic expansion by cutting the corporate tax rate from 35% to 20%.” (Adding $1.5 trillion to the deficit.)
The ‘enrich the rich’ Republicans want to stimulate the economy by giving wealthy corporations (and the rich) tax breaks by using borrowed Chinese money and adding to our already sizeable $20 trillion dollar national debt. (Reagan’s “trickle down” all over again.)
Or…….they will cut a trillion and a half dollars from our social and health programs. (We all know that the military always gets unlimited resources.)
How does any of this make any sense at all?
Take a page from the Reagan playbook. Invade Cyprus and take the bank deposits.
It all makes sense when you recall the GOP creed: Guv’mint is the problem – just vote for them and they will prove it. This is their way of proving it; rather than draining the swamp – they top it up with raw sewage and add poisonous snakes. The goal is to bankrupt the people of the U.S. [guess who gets left holding the bag when they default] so the oligarchs can enslave the new world like they’ve done in the third world. The same thing is going on in Europe so they can enslave the old world, too.
