  1. Trump is a deal maker. Quid pro quo.

    Netanyahu threw his support behind Trump during the 2016 campaign.

    Both Trump and Netanyahu are now under criminal investigation in their respective countries and
    both are in serious political trouble. Said trouble could drive both of these men from office.

    So Trump threw Netanyahu, and himself, a political lifeline by granting Israel sovereignty over all of Jerusalem in clear violation of international law (UN Resolution 181).

    The Jerusalem deal gets Netanyahu some good press at home and Trump gets to shore up his Evangelical Christian Armageddonist base while attempting to steal the Jewish vote away from the Democrats.
