Philadelphia to sue opioid drugmakers over marketing practices and to recover costs

PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia on Wednesday became the latest in a long line of communities that is suing pharmaceutical companies because of the opioid crisis. The suit filed in Philadelphia Common Pleas Court “seeks to halt deceptive marketing practices and pay treatment costs for residents suffering opioid addiction,” the city said in a press release.

  1. Democrat Conor Lamb who is running in the special election against Trump’s choice, Republican Rick Saccone, in Pennsylvania’s 18 Congressional District on March 13, is very involved in doing something about the opioid crises.

    The Lamb/Saccone race is one more chance for the Democrats to take another congressional seat away from our enemies the Republicans.
    Hopefully Perez and the rest of the Democrats will properly fund Lamb’s campaign so that he can help solve the opioid crises.
