Last night, I went to the theatrical release of the newly-restored “A Hard Day’s Night” here in Philly. It was a one-night-only event, and the place was sold out. The mood was infectious — these were middle-aged and even elderly fans, here to relive one of the most exciting parts of their youth, and they dragged children and grandchildren along with them.

And yes, it was wonderful. I got to relive those incredible moments 50 years ago today when my mom took us all to the drive-in.

The world was never the same again.
